Differences in Preparation
Between Dogs and Cats

Dogs:
A blood test is mandatory before departure. The required tests vary depending on whether the dog is neutered/spayed and the details of the mixed vaccinations given before departure. Additionally, both external and internal parasite treatments must be performed twice each.

(Note: Medication must comply with the deworming requirements specified by Australia.)

Cats:
No blood test is required. However, external parasite treatment must be done once, and internal parasite treatment twice.

Please note that the following are required for both dogs and cats:

  • · Issuance of the Microchip Reading Declaration
  • · Obtaining the Import Permit
  • · Booking the quarantine facility
  • · Application to the Animal Quarantine Service
  • · Completing the questionnaire
  • · Health Certificate (including blood test for dogs only)
